Wolters Kluwer is currently inviting nominations and applications for the position of Editor-in-Chief of the newly created gold open access, online-only journal Lippincott Nursing Open.
The journal will aim to serve as a comprehensive platform that drives evidence-based practice and professional development in nursing and healthcare. Lippincott Nursing Open will vigorously maintain high publishing standards with careful and high-quality editorial oversight and peer review. The Lippincott Nursing Open review process will emphasize the scientific, technical and ethical validity of submissions. Novelty or potential for impact will not be considered during the manuscript’s evaluation or adjudication.
The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the overall leadership of the journal and for ensuring the accuracy, validity, and credibility of the journal’s content. Candidates must be an acknowledged expert within the nursing field, a member of leading professional societies within the field, and have considerable authoring and editing experience in prominent, peer-reviewed journals. Candidates must have a minimum of a master’s degree in nursing or health related field; however, a DNP or PhD is preferred. At least eight years in nursing practice is required. Ideally, candidates will have a good understanding of open access publishing. Candidates must possess excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills, as well as a wide network of professional contacts.
