Our second CAMPOREE was held on Friday, August 15 and like the first, it was a success! Thank you to everyone who attended. I recorded the session and it is posted on The Writer’s CAMPOREE page. If you were not able to attend, or if you want a refresher, hop on over to the Writer’s Camp Theater and watch the show!

There is a Tip Jar and evaluation form on the same page as the video. If you found the program helpful and are inclined to make a small donation to support Writer’s Camp, thank you in advance. Also, if you could take a minute or two to complete the evaluation, I would appreciate it. Ideas for future topics are welcome–please add them to the evaluation.
Our next CAMPOREE is scheduled for Friday, September 12 at 10 am EDT. The presenter is Writer’s Camp Counselor Roger Watson, BSc PhD FRCP Edin FAAN. Roger is also the Editor-in-Chief of Nurse Education in Practice. The topic is “Large language models: pAIn or gAIn?” The capital “AI” in the title is deliberate which should give you a hint about the content–but here is a more detailed description:
AI holds much promise for the academic publishing industry and especially for hard-working and hard-pressed editors. Unfortunately, it also holds great promise for hard-working and hard-pressed scholars under pressure to publish or perish and often to publish using English as a second language. In this session the limits in the use of AI by both authors and editors will be discussed.
Registration is open now! We ask people to register so we can plan for the event. Thank you in advance.

How can we sign up for the September Camporee? I canât find a link in the email or in the calendar of events on the Writerâs Camp website? Thank you!
