Writer’s Camp Bugle #13

Do You Have “the Februaries”?

February may only have 28 days, but to me it is the longest—and dreariest—month of the year. If you feel the same way, come to Writer’s Camp for a little fun, connection, and cheering up.

Here’s what’s happening around camp this month:

🔥 New Trail Pack — February 5

We’re posting a new Trail Pack, “Five-Minute Peer Writing Activity,” by Andrew Richards—a practical, easy-to-use resource you can put to work right away in your classroom or other educational setting.

📚 Two Articles Every Week

All month long, we’re doubling up! Instead of just one article on Thursday, we’ll be publishing two articles each week, on Monday andThursday. They will post as usual, at 7 am ET.
Be sure you’re subscribed to Writer’s Camp so you don’t miss the announcements.

🏕️ CAMPOREE — Revising It Right

Friday, February 13 • 1:00 PM ET
Join Writer’s Camp Counselors Marie Gill and Sarah Martin for a Camporee focused on revising after peer review—without panic or overreaction.

🌀 Society of Rogerian Scholars Scholarly Dialogue

Tuesday, February 24 • 2:00 PM ET

We’re excited to be partnering with the Society of Rogerian Scholars (SRS) to present four Scholarly Dialogues this year. The first, The Pandimensional Truth in Nursing, will be presented by Nancy E.M. France and Violet Malinski, and will explore nursing as a dynamic, evolving discipline rather than a static “state.”

📝 Registration & Contact Hours

You can register now for both the CAMPOREE and the Society of Rogerian Scholars Dialogue in the Writer’s Camp Store:

After you register, you’ll receive an email with the Zoom meeting information for the event.

For both events, you may choose to earn 2 contact hours of Nursing Professional Development (NPD) credit for a small fee of $20, if desired.

As always, I welcome your comments and ideas. Writer’s Camp is a community, and your feedback helps us keep building it together.
